Moves Like Jagger: Plot Bunny Explosion!

Chapter 2 is up! Whee!

I was writing the story in class (opps) and suddenly, a little subplot bunny bounced into my brain and multiplied like (as its name suggests) bunnies. So from a three-chapter story, I might expand it to a five-chapter one. Geez.

Haven't been writing much because I'm trying to finish up Cowboy Bebop. Yes, considering it was out in 1998, it's about time that i start watching it :P

Also, I'm reading Code: Breakers by Kamijyo Akimine, the author of my favourite "Samurai Deeper Kyo" :P It's good, but like what my sister said, SDK is a manga that is so impactful to us that even when reading Code: Breakers, we subconsciously look for SDK elements. :\

I Want to be a Turk: Chapter 26

Author Notes for I Want To Be A Turk! Chapter 26

Haha! Yes, from the time since TWA pointed out that Kunsel has been pretty neglected… I finally found a slot to put him in (since the previous few chapters are pretty close to BC story)

I MUST say this. The mission where Reno and Rude were at Floor 45 is in the special episode under Before Crisis. Yes, it really does coincide with Chapter 4 of Crisis Core (thus the timeline of both games are not one after another XD)… remember when Zack first met Cissnei? I’m super excited to finish writing this and I hope you enjoy reading it!

The dialogue is adapted and lifted directly from the translation from kawree of LiveJournal (since I couldn’t find a good compromise between the translation and the extended summary). Certain conversations are modified and removed to quicken the story pace. So whatever happens in Floor 45 is SLIGHTLY AU.

Disclaimer: Events and Dialogue that happened in FF7: Before Crisis (Special Episode of Reno) are taken for consideration from Lifestream(dot)net and kawree from LJ! Scenes that are shown from Crisis Core (namely when Zack first met Cissnei) are taken from the CC walkthrough (thank sorumian for this!!) Please ensure that if you want to use the translations of the special episode of Reno from kawree, please contact her for permission!!!

I Want to be a Turk: Chapter 25

I'm going to postpone my introduction yet again by writing my author's notes here!

Yes, Chapter 25 of "I Want to be a Turk" is finally out! I really want to keep it a little longer but my amount of 'completed' chapters are kinda piling up... so I better get it out. It's never too good to keep chapters for too long. You'll never be satisfied with your work and you'll keep editing it, wahahaha.

Finally, Club Duel. Back when I first started on the story, when i was reading ahead on the events to come, i was thinking to myself that it'll take me FOREVER to reach this stage. but here we are :)

I am a little tentative about writing fighting scenes. I absolutely love cutting short the fights so that my writing flaws would not be shown. Soon... Soon enough, I'll force myself to plan and write a fight so awesome it'll blind you. :P

(for all i know... no one is reading my blog. i'll be glad with talking to myself still XD)

My Writing History... An Overview.

Finally, I settle down and I believe it's time to introduce this... contraption.

Yes, I'm aichioluv from Fanfiction.net. I started writing fanfiction when I was around 15 years old. That's... a really long time *cough cough* I first started writing Final Fantasy 8, and then I left it as such. Stupid me...

And for the next few years it took me a while to get the fact that i shouldn't only begin the story, i need to END it. So I finally did. A five chapter long story (KISS Me!) under my favourite manga then (it still is now :3), Samurai Deeper Kyo. Receiving all those reviews were really a joy for me. Soon after, I began to write the extended version of 'Kiss Me!', focusing on the loopholes that I've previously missed.

Then... the unthinkable (not really, since every other fanfic writer went through the stage) happened. I went on hiatus without a single word. For two years I've left my story on hold and by the time I remembered, most of the readers were gone. Such a shame. Of course I'll dwell on this a little longer but that's another story.

So I sat down and continued the story, Their Memories of Fukinara High. Oh well, but the shame. Only one of my loyal readers remained. (I'm eternally grateful to her support.) With much luck, I managed to reach a temporary ending with this story and now I'm writing full force on my latest story: I Want To Be A Turk.

I really hope that this story could end and really end. Not temporary endings, not slipshod work. The true ending that I desire. Of course, this plot is really long and it will definitely not finish by this year. heck, i'll be glad if I can even finish part 1 of this story by this year. 0.o

Still, i want to go through this. I really commit myself to completing this story and I wouldn't want it any other way. Remind me this when I've forgotten what I've said.

Yeah... that's it I guess.

Oh fudge. I went off topic. So much for introduction. I'll do it the next post.

Moves Like Jagger + Movie Review (1): Suckseed

Wahaha, in the end I've yet to begin on what I intended to write.

Moves Like Jagger. As of now I'm still at a blank Chapter 2, a skimpy last chapter and I don't really know what I REALLY want to write. Just that I loved listening to the song :3 I believed as of now I've listened to the song at least 20 times (will begin count from here) for writing the story so far... and probably another 20 times more for listening pleasure XDDD

i hope i don't end up being so sick of the song that i stop writing the story altogether :P

Okay, let's get the to-says over and done with :D

(taken from google images)

Suckseed is movie based in Thailand, about a group of musically... disinclined boys who wanted to form a band. When their female childhood friend returns after moving to Bangkok, many funny things happened.

Honestly, when I first saw this poster and my boyfriend suggested watching this, i was thinking... Really? It looked pretty... low budget in my opinion. We had nothing else to do and hence it was unanimous that we'll watch this cute-sy, teenage-y movie.

i totally underestimated this movie. i expected myself to have a good time with all the 'teenage woe' kinda storyplots, and indeed they are. however, i left the cinema with a very warm and fuzzy feeling inside.

the storyline is not bad, really! but the thing that captivated me the most was the character portrayal and development. it was a 2-hour worth of heartache and joy watching the movie. the characters were all portrayed very well, and the protagonists have extremely strong character. The way they walked, they way they stutter or yell... it was nice and crisp. Before the movie reached its halfway mark, I found myself engaged with the characters... i felt the heartache of their rejections, i laughed so hard at their crazy antics. it was as if they were very close to my heart. it was heart-warming to see the characters grow up and reconcile.

what's with these and writing, you say? well... i left the cinema wanting to write like that. I mean, the storyboard did a wonderful job portraying each character in their own quirks. I thought back about people who said that they feel for my characters and i always feel awesome hearing how my reviewers can relate to them easily.

it's just a little... reminder at myself to work harder on my character development. For "I Want to be a Turk!", these words are easier said than done. Meia, being an OC, of course gets the most character development. however sometimes i admit i forget about the other characters... like the BC turks, reno and especially rude... argh... so many people. remind me not to throw in ten people within the first few chapters wahahaha XD

i'm still excited to write "I Want to be a Turk" and I hope that I am able to write everything that I intend to write. I am a little concerned that the story might be so long that my readers will lose interest... =((

P.S: the boyfriend thereafter ended up watching "Suckseed" again with his friends... and he told me that he still enjoyed the movie after watching it the second time. that's a first.

P.P.S: Suckseed is no longer in the cinemas... To the readers who are not in Asia... well... good luck finding the movie :P I highly encourage you to go watch it! :D

Queen

I know this totally has nothing to do with writing, but I've recently been listening to some songs from Queen (yes, I was inspired to do so after seeing the Google's celebration of the birthday of Freddie Mercury.)

They do have some awesome songs, especially "I want to break free" and "Don't stop me" :)

Okay i guess i could still link it up to writing... we can talk about songfics! i ventured into writing stories that were inspired by songs. The first one was "Dress Off" by BoA. The result of the earworm was a 5000-word story based on Samurai Deeper Kyo... the story named "Dress Off!".

I remembered i was still in China then, visiting my dad. Just... woke up one morning, sat down and typed from morning to night non-stop... till the story was done. Haha, then again, I had many days like that while I was in China. Perhaps I can document that in here again...

(EDIT: And I did! Read all about it here.)

Adding to my list to "to-says"
1. Suckseed!
2. NaNoWriMo
3. China Writing Trip

Many people liked it, though I didn't think it was my best. It merely started out as an idea: I want to write a random, fluffy fanfic. Usually when I write a fanfic, I ensure that I have a simple skeleton of the story development AND the ending... then I fill in the details and description. This time, I wrote without really thinking of the story development and ending. Though the ending later on was formed within the hour (and so much for writing aimlessly), I was pretty satisfied with the result.

I told myself then that 'NO MORE DANCE/SONG FICS!' but here we are... with me racking my brains for my ongoing short story "Moves Like Jagger" under Final Fantasy 7. I can't help it. I am totally addicted to the song, Adam Levine is simply smexy. Enough said :)

Now that I've written my second post for the blog, I suppose that this blog is really here to stay. XD Back to working around my mental block!

Why didn't I think of this sooner?

As the title plainly states.

i guess back then i had to manage my personal blog and so it was hard to support two blogs. hmm... perhaps i'll give my introduction once i get all my recent thoughts down.

two more things to say before i give introduction (for i am one who forgets... really easily.)

1. the movie "suckseed"
2. NaNoWriMo

okay, back to what i really want to say!

this would be my writing blog. not that i'll post any original or fanfiction stories here (though I will put a link back to my Fanfiction.net profile). It's just somewhere that i want to write about my writing. if i can invent a word for it... metawriting? like how metalanguage is the 'language of language' and metacognition is 'thinking about thinking'... you get my drift.

basically this is going to be a boring blog of:
- my thoughts when i write fanfiction
- my deeper thoughts when i write scenes in my stories
- my thoughts on books ive read
- other mishmash (for lack of better description)

till i discover more things to say... that'll be all.

I have just finished reading "Pegasus" by Robin McKingley. I don't really have much thoughts right now. The book is a complexity by itself. Hmm... there were two main plots running the show and all the names and everything got confusing. Maybe it's because I'm so eager to finish a book >.> All in all, it was most enjoyable and I absolutely loved the description. The author seems to have a wonderful way of describing indescribable things. XD you will know what i mean if you've read it :)

i'd hardly call this a review. a review is one that targets the book in all its technicality. i prefer to call it an afterthought... like aesthetically my feelings and reflections *snort*. okay no more about that.

Signing out.
