A post that is NOT on writing

So finally I can use my 'makeup' tag :P

one of the beauty bloggers that i'm following is having a birthday giveaway so her contest is kinda like hercules' 12 labours. heheh. but i'm having fun! anyway one of her tasks is to blog about her giveaway so here I am :3

Anyway, to ensure that my blog is not overly off-track to it being a writing blog, let me just talk briefly about the blog in terms of its writing. the blogger has really yummy description of makeup :3 and her words of excitement whenever she raves or rants on something is really believable. whaahahhaa, okay, let me draw on some past sentences that she wrote that made me go 'oooh'

oh darn it, the blog doesn't let me highlight words XDDD let me type two examples and i'll move on :P

"It would all have been a better experience had I not rush down from meeting looking all disheveled and the assistants started me off right away with 'hope in a jar' ..."

"Like a lovelorn teenager nursing a crush, I couldn't get the Clio Waterproof Brush Liner Kill out of my mind."

and many more examples of simply delicious sentences and metaphors :D who knew that makeup reviews could be so descriptive? anyway, the blogger is really sweet and though I've only started reading her blog for a few months, I know this is a blog that I won't be leaving anytime soon :3

anyway, here's my post, as promised. I really really am hoping to win the Emerald Lame (i pronounce it as 'la-meh' by the way...). it would definitely make me smile more if i wear it to work XDD

So it's been a week, huh?

Can't believe a week went by so quickly... and so slowly. I miss writing fanfiction, seriously. to those who are still clueless to what has been happening to me, i've been sent for my internship. and well, for privacy purposes, that's all i'm gonna say (though those who have been in contact with me will probably remember?).

so yes, it has been a tough week (mainly because I'm trying to finish my last college assignment due Friday 0.o). honestly, i don't understand how i can take days to write a 4000-5000 word assignment when i can easily do the same for fanfiction... in under a day. :/

the good thing about the internship is that i get to read while i'm on the job (like for half an hour everyday). So I'm trying to reread Eragon. While waiting for Brisingr, I've stopped reading and now that even Inheritance is already published, I better catch up XDD

I haven't been writing, though i'm at the stage where I've finished writing whatever i've planned and i'm doing planning again (i'll explain another time XD). to me, it's always fun to plan, more than to write. :P

perhaps that's why i used to go on hiatus and stop my stories, because after a while i'll finish my story in my head and i get too lazy to write it out. that's kinda how it was for a short period of time (especially chapter 46-52). if it wasn't for the fact that majority of the events are 'lifted' from the canon storyline, i would've had great trouble writing them.

honestly, i'm not very flustered by the fact that i've not written for the past week. while it IS worrying because my writing WILL get rusty, i kinda have enough chapters in "I Want To Be A Turk!" to last me a long long time :) no worries, I'll do my best to write here and there. I don't want to lose the momentum... Tch. honestly, the momentum was lost the week before I started internship but oh well, i'm going to do my best to juggle work and writing!!

hopefully i can finish my assignment by tonight, then i can upload my story tomorrow afternoon :3 if not... it's probably friday past midnight XD

well, i wonder how is everyone else (i.e. the readers)? has life been busy? ahh, i guess it's a passing phase :3 let us work hard at working hard, but remember to enjoy the smaller things in life... like a new chapter from your favourite fanfic author (i know it's hard to believe since i'm usually so snobbish, but i wasn't referring to myself XDDDD).

in other news, NOW i know that whenever i'm stressed, i have this incredible urge to buy... makeup. like... wut??? i've gotten two foundation samples and a sunscreen and i'll gladly talk about it... just that this is a writing blog and not a makeup blog XDD

I Want To Be A Turk!: Chapter 32

has it been a week already? wasn't it just yesterday or something that i posted on... oh, moves like jagger was uploaded on tuesday XD despite my saying that i've stopped writing... obviously i haven't :\ but we're here to talk about the chapter so here we go!

i was quite surprised when i realised that i'm going to upload this chapter. the start of Year 0002, huh? this is the year where everything changes, for everyone actually. for meia, reno and "coincidentally", zack fair (nibelheim, anyone?) the feeling is like 'wow, the story has really gone a long way.' even though the story is NOWHERE near midpoint, it really has come thus far. i hope that i have the tenacity to finish everything that i want to finish.

it's pretty silly to read my authors' notes now. back when i wrote this (in september!!!), i was saying that my chapter is long... and that was 4000 words. now, i removed my remark, since 4000 words has been an average length for a very very long time XD

yes, the Icicle Inn scenes are from Before Crisis. :) it's really hard to fit Meia into scenes, i swear. XD that's why i feel extra proud of myself whenever i can do a canon scene with Meia.

Lifestream. One of the many concepts that i didn't understand till recently (what was i playing ff7 back then for???). it's a highly profound concept, kudos to the story developer. so yeah, the context of my story is the ppl don't know that Mako is refined souls of humans. i can't be bothered to research and watch through all the games to see if this knowledge is common or exclusive so... :P

yes, i know reno is kinda OOC here. fear not, i'll devise a marvellous plan to make everything alright. XD

Oh my gosh, do my eyes deceive me? Does Reno finally realize that he might…!? Gosh, after 32 chapters, if he’s not going to do something about it, even I will give him a virtual punch!

Haha, yeah that’s the part that I thought you guys might like. About time I add in some… mutual (?) feelings there. But the journey is far from over, wahahaha!

okay, i'm pretty much done with my talking and talking.

on a side note (though it's predominantly a writing blog, i DO write about other things as well.. wait till you hear me rant about makeup... oh look, there's a tag there already.), I have to stop wearing coloured contact lenses for a while. (let us not get started on the harmful things about coloured lenses k? XD)

Yeah, i was trying out a new brand and well... i find them a little too soft for my liking. so... the fact that they went a little too dry... my reddened eyes are more than happy to scream 'next!!' So yeap, as i'm typing i'm nursing my dry eyes with eye drops >.<

alright, i shall quickly upload my story (yeah i do this post before i upload) and then sleep, hoping that the lost eyelash in my eye will somehow be lodged out while i sleep XD
