New Word (7): Vestige

Noun A trace of something that is disappearing or no longer exists. The smallest amount (used to emphasize the absence of something): "without a vestige of sympathy".

Or in other words, remnants. I saw this in a text with the phrase "vestige of a Portugese fort".

Haven't been using the new words that I've learnt though. Words like divulse, ephemeral and insuperable... haven't found the opportunity to use them without something like some prude.

In other news, uploading of chapters are back to normal, so see you with a new chapter in two weeks' time!

New Word (6): Insuperable

It has been a while since I looked for new words. I caught this word while I was peeking at my friend's book: The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis.

Synonyms insurmountable - invincible - unconquerable

Let's see if I can use this word at all. It shouldn't be a big problem.

New Word (5): Ephemeral

Yes! I'm still alive!

I have many things that I want to blog, but not now. I'm getting busy again and I'd rather use all that time on writing my stories :P

Anyway, new word today!

cool beans, gonna try using this word now. this new word section is really helping me, i'm using my newly learnt words quite naturally :3

New Word (4): Velleity

It has been a while since I found a new word. Dictionary.com has a small game called "Word Dynamo", which I play here and there. I pick up words from then.

Noun:

A wish or inclination not strong enough to lead to action.

I'm proud to say that I've used reticient/taciturn and travesty quite nicely. Divulse is not a very common word that I use, thankfully.

Let's hope I can find ways to use 'velleity' soon. It shouldn't be hard... right?

So I have not used the previous word 'reticent' yet.

but this is my new word and I shouldn't post until I use these two words regularly. :3

I have no idea how to use this word. The boyfriend has been using them the past few weeks and I've yet to ask him.

Okay, two words to integrate into my vocabulary!!

New Word (1): Reticent + Misc. Stuff

Imagine my joy when one of my favourite authors in fanfiction, S-, replied me after seven months of not ever seeing her speak a word apart from her awesome author profile and A/N in the first chapter of the story.

In my foolishness and tactlessness, I blurted my desire that she would speak more and even said that I figured that she was probably a more reserved person than the other authors that I've met. So she messaged me saying that I was the first person to call her reticent. Heheh.

She even gave me her link to visit so I can revel myself in more of her ramblings :P in which i saw that sometimes she posts words that she learnt and she tries to use them more often. That gave me the inspiration to do the same. I mean hey, we're all about learning, aren't we?

As such, I'll try to (whenever I remember) write new words that I've learnt and we'll see how it goes? Let me know if you like this idea... then again, nvm. I'll post them whether you like it or not :P

New Word:

RETICENT (adjective): "ret-uh-suhnt"

Adjective:	Not revealing one's thoughts or feelings readily.
Synonyms:	taciturn - reserved - silent - uncommunicative
