So I was going down memory lane...

I was reading Chapter 1 of "I Want To Be A Turk!"

I find it amazing that soon, it'll be one full year since I've started this fic. Thank you, lovely readers, for hanging on with me so far. Amazing. Simply amazing. I find myself still thinking, "How did I even come up with such things?" Heheh.

As the new chapter is coming soon, I hope all of you will enjoy it :) Chapter 50 is based heavily on BC again, but soon, there will be a time skip and you'll see things picking up a lot faster :)

P.P.S: I'm currently reading "Eragon" by Christopher Paolini. I simply. cannot. believe. that he was 15 when he wrote this. i mean, when i was 15 i came up with childish stories like "KISS Me!" and he... well, i'm just in total awe. I can't wait to finish the whole quadrilogy :DDD

I Want to Be a Turk!: Chapter 49

Quick author's notes before i go back to work.

finally, it's the new year, 0003!

it has been some time since Zack and Cloud were dragged into Nibelheim for research,

but life still goes on in Shinra, and so the story says :)

i hope that many of you can still catch the things happening in the story,

truthfully, it gets a little dizzy!

but from now on, most of the events are BC-driven so if you are familiar with the story of Before Crisis, good for you!

if not, you can just accept things the way they are, wahahaha!

So... some cameos, Yuffie and Cid. They appear because of BC, so if not for BC, i wouldn't have wanted to include them too :P

Now, the Modeoheim obliteration was one of my favourite scenes in the chapter.

firstly, because it's original (heheh!) and also because i enjoyed how Meia took some time to think about Zack. to those who didn't get the part, she walked past the facility where Zack was at. (you remember? the place where Zack had to sneak into the factory without being seen by like, 6 guards or something)

now that it's more familiar to you, it makes sense, huh? XD

i would love to write more about Modeoheim but time is pressing me to continue.

nevertheless, i'm happy with how it came out.

i mean, Modeoheim didn't appear in FF7 so something MUST'VE happened to it to completely erase off its existence, right? :)

i still love writing Reno, even after 49 chapters. writing him is quite a challenge, because i'm always fearful that he'll come out too ditsy, or too aloof, or too 'emo'. so far you guys have been saying that he's fine, so i'm trusting your judgement on that!! ^^

So, it has been sometime...

Since I wrote on this blog, that is.

simply put, writing and working concurrently is no joke.

everyday i arrive home feeling the terrible urge to finish my work (yes, i have to take my work home) and then crash on my bed.

so when i had my holidays, i wrote.

like there's no tomorrow.

thanks to the holidays, i finished one and a half chapters :)

but my work has suffered greatly.

alas... will i succumb to my work and no longer write? :(

then, i received a review from someone whom i've never seen before.

she said that she liked it.

amazing how a few sentences could revive my desire to write again.

and that was how i felt weekly, whenever i receive reviews from you guys.

just that, i haven't.

yeah, i know everyone's tired and busy.

i can't (i won't) hold it against you.

*goes to youtube to listen to 'hold it against me' :P*

so from a tired and hopeful fanauthor to her readers: please take care and don't fall sick. enjoy your life to the fullest, even if it means taking a few hours away to do the things that you love. (i meant writing your stories, not reading my stories :PP)

okay, back to work.

Anyway, to ensure that my blog is not overly off-track to it being a writing blog, let me just talk briefly about the blog in terms of its writing. the blogger has really yummy description of makeup :3 and her words of excitement whenever she raves or rants on something is really believable. whaahahhaa, okay, let me draw on some past sentences that she wrote that made me go 'oooh'

oh darn it, the blog doesn't let me highlight words XDDD let me type two examples and i'll move on :P

"It would all have been a better experience had I not rush down from meeting looking all disheveled and the assistants started me off right away with 'hope in a jar' ..."

"Like a lovelorn teenager nursing a crush, I couldn't get the Clio Waterproof Brush Liner Kill out of my mind."

and many more examples of simply delicious sentences and metaphors :D who knew that makeup reviews could be so descriptive? anyway, the blogger is really sweet and though I've only started reading her blog for a few months, I know this is a blog that I won't be leaving anytime soon :3

anyway, here's my post, as promised. I really really am hoping to win the Emerald Lame (i pronounce it as 'la-meh' by the way...). it would definitely make me smile more if i wear it to work XDD

This idea was birthed maybe a few months ago. While I was writing "I Want To Be A Turk!" I thought, wouldn't it be great if i could also write a OCxRude and OCxTseng story as well? The best part? They all happened in the "I Want To Be A Turk!" world!

funny i said that, since 'I Want To Be A Turk!' is supposed to be 'canon' :P but yeah... maybe someday, when i'm exhausted from my work and i have absolutely nothing to do or write about... then i'll consider it :P

No, i won't give you any plot bunnies, because it might whet your appetite :P not when i'm still trying to finish 'i want to be a turk!' XDD

Please don't ask me how it happened...

It just did.

I was finishing my last assignment for my entire college life... when an hour before the deadline, my file disappeared. into thin air. what sorcery is this? so the only copy i had left was 80% completed... and that 20% alone takes me 2-3 hours to finish.

great, so yes i submitted my work late. never in my life did this happen (it shouldn't happen to you guys, alright?) ive explained to my tutor and so i hope that nothing will go wrong (if not my assignment will go down one grade :(()

but anyway i'm done for my assignments! so i'll upload the new chapter past midnight, because well, i wanna go have fun :)

So it's been a week, huh?

Can't believe a week went by so quickly... and so slowly. I miss writing fanfiction, seriously. to those who are still clueless to what has been happening to me, i've been sent for my internship. and well, for privacy purposes, that's all i'm gonna say (though those who have been in contact with me will probably remember?).

so yes, it has been a tough week (mainly because I'm trying to finish my last college assignment due Friday 0.o). honestly, i don't understand how i can take days to write a 4000-5000 word assignment when i can easily do the same for fanfiction... in under a day. :/

the good thing about the internship is that i get to read while i'm on the job (like for half an hour everyday). So I'm trying to reread Eragon. While waiting for Brisingr, I've stopped reading and now that even Inheritance is already published, I better catch up XDD

I haven't been writing, though i'm at the stage where I've finished writing whatever i've planned and i'm doing planning again (i'll explain another time XD). to me, it's always fun to plan, more than to write. :P

perhaps that's why i used to go on hiatus and stop my stories, because after a while i'll finish my story in my head and i get too lazy to write it out. that's kinda how it was for a short period of time (especially chapter 46-52). if it wasn't for the fact that majority of the events are 'lifted' from the canon storyline, i would've had great trouble writing them.

honestly, i'm not very flustered by the fact that i've not written for the past week. while it IS worrying because my writing WILL get rusty, i kinda have enough chapters in "I Want To Be A Turk!" to last me a long long time :) no worries, I'll do my best to write here and there. I don't want to lose the momentum... Tch. honestly, the momentum was lost the week before I started internship but oh well, i'm going to do my best to juggle work and writing!!

hopefully i can finish my assignment by tonight, then i can upload my story tomorrow afternoon :3 if not... it's probably friday past midnight XD

well, i wonder how is everyone else (i.e. the readers)? has life been busy? ahh, i guess it's a passing phase :3 let us work hard at working hard, but remember to enjoy the smaller things in life... like a new chapter from your favourite fanfic author (i know it's hard to believe since i'm usually so snobbish, but i wasn't referring to myself XDDDD).

in other news, NOW i know that whenever i'm stressed, i have this incredible urge to buy... makeup. like... wut??? i've gotten two foundation samples and a sunscreen and i'll gladly talk about it... just that this is a writing blog and not a makeup blog XDD
